Abstract

Mass fatality incidents generate large numbers of victims, often suddenly and unexpectedly. They are classed as
‘disasters’ whose management exceeds the capacity of one
organization. Indeed, this management requires deploying
different teams. And in these cases, victim identification
is generally achieved by following international disaster
victim identification protocols.
In this paper and through Sfax forensic department’s
experience, we aim to describe the forensic management
in case of a mass disaster
