Hoping for a change in the law on end of life, the Prime
Minister invited us, two parliamentarians, Messrs
Claeys and Léonetti, to make proposals in three directions: the development of palliative medicine, better
organisation of the gathering and taking into account of
anticipated directives by giving them a compelling character and the definition of the conditions and circumstances in which the relief of suffering can lead to the
shortening of life with respect for the person's autonomy.
This mission has resulted in the bill presented to parliament
