Abstract

Hydatic cyst is an endemic parasitic disease in Tunisia. It is characterized by its large clinical latency and its
evolution with low noise. The natural history of disease may be punctuated by several complications, the most serious one is sudden death. The discovery of a hydatic cyst at autopsy raises the question of his involvement in the
mechanism of death. We proposed in this work to analyze the degree of involvement of hydatic cyst in the mechanism of death through the analysis of 22 cases of hydatic cyst discovered at autopsy
