Abstract

The construction of the human body is not purely medical and biological, It is also a social, cultural and anthropological one to which the law is bringing its own stone. In our modern society, the human body has the function of a limit which separates individuals and gives them a greater autonomy. With technoscience, we can reconstruct ourself. Nevertheless, our new body is not totally our own and fully autonomous. It is part of a complex network of social relationship which explain the ambiguity of the human body. We want to be the author of our own identity but we look for social acknowledgement.
