In Tunisia, the recently promulgated Constitution gives
health care providers a new dimension. Themes directly
or indirectly with the health report are remarkably
increased compared to the previous Constitution. Health
is clearly stated as a right with all resulting consequences,
particularly in association with the right to
constitutionalized social security coverage but with a
scope that remains insufficient.
On another front, always in relation to the right to
health, the new Constitution provides a novel way in
Tunisia: the principle of dignity. However the way
followed to enshrine this is overdone in a legal context
remaining fragile and unsuited to receive it completely
