Abstract

In this interview, Sylvie and Dominique Mennesson present the difficulties they face everyday because the births
of their children have not been transcribed into the
French civil registry of births, marriages and deaths.
They share with us their anxiety about the future if the
situation is not normalised. They describe how their
daughters feel and their relationship with Mary who
brought them into the world. They also approach the
issue from a strictly legal angle and give us their interpretation of the European Court of Human Rights decision.
We are very grateful to them for this discussion, rich with
thoughts anchored in reality
