SECTARIAN EXCESSES AND SEVERE EXCESSES

Abstract

Thirty years after the Vivien report on sects in France, despite the recommendations aimed at
reducing certain excesses, it’s clear that they continue to thrive by moving their center of gravity
abroad. More over the emergence of fanatical religious organizations that thrive on disarray and
/or the hope of the people have led the authorities to set up new parliamentary commissions of
inquiry in order to propose solutions to contain this new phenomenon called: radicalization.
