THE DISAPPEARANCE OF THE BODY: NEW REALITY OR VIRTUAL REALITY?

Abstract

The body models the human being in his behaviors as
in his logic but the human being must not fear that the
body betrays his reason. Furthermore, if «the idea that
techniques have the power to transform the human being
is far from new», it is from this new hybridization that our
question arises in the 21st century about the consequences
of our power to transform the human being.
The objective of efficiency, even productivity, which
now guides our activities, leads to a normalization of
the bodies. It is not yet a disappearance of the body
but it is that of a perception which made the body an
essential link sociability
