The polysemy of the adjective ‘vulnerable’, its nuances
and approaches, refers to the biological and/or biographical fragility or weakness of an individual or a group
(at risk populations). But what about the vulnerability
of legitimacy in the bioethical discourse. When we
know that Medicine has had a reductionist view and has
neglected the vulnerability of the environment and its
impact on man. The need to preserve the health of the
planet and all the beings that live on it? Ethics and law
are thus faced with harmful transgressions and abusive
paternalism which use human beings and research protocols in the name of scientific and technological progress.
