Latin America is a region with 45% of its population
living in poverty and 10% of the regional population
living in extreme poverty. But there are more natives
and more women than men in these situations: how
then to think about bioethics in this context?
What freedom – and for whom? Where is this abstract
subject that advocates the principle of autonomy when
50% of the population of Latin America is poor and
is subject to constraints for every life project that the
situation of poverty imposes?
