Abstract

Personalized medicine is an inclusive concept which the
lecturers in the colloquy have tried to apprehend in its
medical, social, ethical, and economic dimensions. This
new medical practice breeds conflicts of interests and
others issues such as: the collecting and the appropriation
of data, the relationships with the patient, the development of specific treatments, the economic weight of
healthcare, and the covering of medical costs by the
National Health system, the link between healthcare and
bio-medical research, and at last the potential ethical
issues. Doctors and legal experts must meet to deal with
these problems so as to strike a good balance between
taking into account all these social requirements and respecting the rights and dignity of the patient.
