Abstract

Personalized medicine invites the legal expert to understand, beside the body of the individual, the human body,
a digital body composed of the genetic data specific to it
and to wonder about its status. It appears that the digital body should not be identified with the person but it is
strongly linked to him. The principles protecting the
human person set out in the bioethical laws find new
applications here but they prove to be insufficient,
making us reflect about establishing new principles to
protect the person.
