Personalized medicine (PM) is considered to be one of
the most promising applications resulting from research
in the field of genomics. Several publications have focused on the ethical, social and legal issues that might be
raised by this new scientific discipline. However, the
issues raised by this research are not unique to personalized medicine. There is also an insufficient amount of
empirical data to assess the relevance of these issues to this
particular context. This paper presents a new methodological tool to better prioritize the issues of PM on the basis
of the two major criticisms formulated against them.
