The political history is marqued by heads of states ravaged
by disease. Despite its incorporation into almost all the
constitutions of the world, the introduction of an impediment procedure is still causing concern. There is no worse
fight than wanting to stay in the state while feeling ill as
if staying in the post is a therapy in itself.
Edith Wilson was convinced that Woodrow’s recovery
depended on her being in the White House, and as a result,
she was going to keep the exact nature of her illness secret
and make sure no one saw it outside Dr. Grayson’s friend
and some of his relatives.
From a legal point of view, does the president’s health come
under the secrecy of private life or, on the contrary, does it
belong to the public domain?
A President of the Republic, is not this lambda citizen, that
health interests only his person or his relatives. The President’s
health bulletin is of the utmost interest to his people and,
as a result, it becomes a political issue by necessity
