In matters of psychotic symptoms following brain
trauma/ head injury, the French forensic doctrine has the
merit of simplicity: “Psychotic disorders are never traumatic”. Today, the debate regarding the possible causes of
psychotic symptoms, which is always difficult, deserves to
be addressed in the light of epidemiologic data, cognitive
and behavioral assessment and imaging data.
