Abstract

In this article, the author highlights the main stakes
pertaining to transition to adulthood among youth
receiving health and social services. The author presents the evolution of services from the 1990’s on in
the province of Quebec, Canada, discusses youths’
experiences, particularly for those youth who received
youth protection services, highlights good practice
with this population and presents various initiatives
developed in recent years to help youth get through
this difficult life period. Some of these initiatives result
from a partnership with French colleagues.
