Abstract

The polysemy of the adjective “vulnerable”, with its
nuances and approaches, refers to the fragility or biological
and biographical weakness of an individual or a group
(populations at risk). Vulnerability is legitimized in the
bioethics discourse. Medicine has had a reductionist view
and has neglected the vulnerability of the environment
and its repercussions in human beings. The need to preserve the health of the planet and the beings who live on
the planet. Ethics and the law as opposed to the harmful
transgressions and the improper paternalisms that use
human beings in the protocols of research in the name
of scientific and technological progress.
