The treatment of sexual assault perpetrators is a major subject of interest on both the medical and penal level.
In France, only Androcur® has received market approval (AMM) for the indication: “reduces sexual urges in
paraphilia in association with psychotherapic treatment”. GnRH Analogues are still rarely prescribed in France
for this indication despite the encouraging results found in literature. We present a case of a patient with mental
retardation showing difficulties controlling sexual urges. An analogue GnRH treatment was introduced in order
to reduce this symptom with convincing clinical results. Tolerance proved to be excellent. An interesting fact was
that the efficacy spectrum of the introduced molecule also covered non-sexual violent behaviour of the patient.
