Emerging at the end of the 1960s and the beginning of the following decade, terrorism studies constitute at the same time a field of research, a set of knowledge and accepted methods to produce them, as well as a widely shared conception (beyond of the "orthodox / critical" cleavage to which we will come back) of what "terrorism" is
