Abstract

Intraductal papillomas are part of papillary lesions
and are represented by single papilloma and multiple papillomas.
Their frequency varies between 1 to 8% of the
benign breast diseases biopsied.
Classically, the distinction was often regarded as
benign retro areolar solitary papilloma and peripheral multiple papillomas representing lesions
with risk.
Currently, some authors believe that solitary
papillomas and multiple papillomas belong to the
same group of proliferative breast disease and
recommend their surgical resection routine even
when it’s a simple solitary papilloma asymptomatic.
