In past, some studies showed the relation between
hyperestrogenia mammary dystrophies and overweight. Rare lesions as plasmocytes mastites are
more frequent among the patients affected by diabetes. More recently, studies focused on the physiopathologist ties between metabolic syndrome, diabetes and ovarian pathologies as micro polykystics
ovaries syndrome. Finally in the 90 years, a large
number of studies has related diabetes, obesity and
risks of cancer, especially breast cancer. In recent
publications, a polemic is born on risks not only du
to pathology, but also du to treatments of diabetes
in particular insulin analogues. The present diabetes pandemic follows in parallel the pandemic of
obesity. Obesity and overweight affect more than
45% of the french population. If a relationship
exists between diabetes and risk of cancer, it will be
a double public health problem.
