Abstract

The microdose pill combining drospirenone
3 mg and ethinylestradiol (EE) 20 microgr
24 jours / 28 is marketed under the name YAZ.
Used for several months in the United States, it has
proven to be effective in improving the symptoms of PMS and acne
moderate. Drospirenone is a derivative of the 17 alpha
spironolactone and an analogue thereof with
antimineralocorticoid and antiandrogenic properties.
Taking this pill consists of taking one
tablet 24 days and taking a placebo for the last 4 days
days of the cycle. The antigonadotropic effect could be
higher with this diagram compared to a
21 days of the pill and 7 days of placebo. Comparative studies are lacking to confirm this.
