About the Journal

The journal is aimed at students, teachers and researchers from universities, research centers and laboratories and technical agencies or operational organizations, in France and abroad. Graduate students find concrete examples of the application of image processing or spatial analysis methods taught to them. University teachers use it to measure the progressive evolution of the use of spatial methods for the analysis of complex systems, and researchers present their results by being able to compare them with those of their colleagues.
The international opening of the journal should allow it, in the years to come, to take a good place in the group of European environmental journals.

Content

Photo-Interprétation is a scientific journal which aims to present the results of multidisciplinary research on the environment, favoring spatial approaches based on the use of images, spatial analysis and modeling within digital systems. geographic information.
Originally, the review was mainly focused on the analysis of aerial and space images. The evolution of methodological approaches in environmental sciences has recently led us to extend our editorial field to take into account the evolution of scientific and methodological issues and to open up more clearly to the different types of spatial representations of the results of the research.
Each issue contains between four and six articles of fifteen pages. These articles are published in the language (English, Spanish or French) in which they are submitted. They are accompanied by extended summaries in English or French, as appropriate.
One of the great assets of Photo-Interpretation is the publication of color illustrations, which provide excellent support for the presentation of images, maps and graphic models.
We regularly alternate the publication of thematic issues and current issues in order to take into account both the results of national and international research programs, and to maintain a watch on the diversified production of laboratories.
