Upper -extremity venous thrombosis are rare and
represent 2-4% of deep vein thrombosis. Their frequency
seems to increase due to the frequent use of central
venous access and a development of pacemaker. We report
two cases of upper -extremity venous thrombosis among
patients who have pacemaker. These two women aged
respectively 60 and 72 years who presented pain and
swelling in the left upper limb a few days after
implantation of a pacemaker. The venous Doppler of the
upper limbs was demonstrated in both cases, deep vein
thrombosis left brachio-axillary. The outcome was
favorable in two patients without complications under
anticoagulant treatment.
