Abstract

We have treated for hyperhidrosis in 16 years by thoracic
sympathectomy under thoracoscopy 1250 patients. The
average follow-up is 7.5 years with 25.2% of patients lost
of follow-up or no anwser. Perioperative mortality is 0. The
cure rate is excellent, close to 100%. The results are longterm stable. The rate of compensatory sweating is low
12.6%, possibly related to the short length of sympathic
resection.
