Saphenous sampling under videoscopy for infrainguinal bypass surgery

Abstract

VIDEOENDOSCOPIC HARVEST OF THE SAPHENOUS
VEIN FOR INFRAINGUINAL BYPASS
Autogenous vein is the best conduit for infrainguinal
bypass. Harvesting the great saphenous vein by open techniques results in large incisions, with wound complications,
mainly in obese and diabetics patients.
The aim of this work is to report our experience with
videoendoscopic saphenous vein harvest (EVH). Our experience supports the current use of EVH for infra inguinal
bypass.
