Abstract

Said has had some good ideas on the contextuality and migration between ideas and theories, which has later turned into a popular theoretical model called Traveling Theory. In comparision with Said’s theoretical invention based on his travel from place to place in Middle East and North America, this essay attempts to find another type of trace chain which is centered around Lukács. It attempts to open a new way to make up for the blind
point in Said’s Traveling Theory, reexamining the problem of Traveling Theory with the Kiao-Iology drawn from the resources of Chinese traditional culture, highlighting the total meaning of the eastern ways of thinking, unfolding a new type of crosscultural dialogue, which could throw light on a total process of making human spiritural products.
