Abstract

This paper uses Qiao Yi theory to discuss the phenomenon of the Chinese diaspora’s mobility and variability, focusing on the formation of Chinese Diaspora Culture. Through a case study of Singapore’s Teochew Community, it discusses the reconstruction of Teochew community culture from a dynamic and transnational perspective. It reviews the process of formation of Teochew community culture and its relationship with the qiaoxiang in its
long-term historical context. This paper will rethink the binary model of Sino-Western culture and discuss the possibility of the existence and development of a third cultural or multicultural form.
