About the Journal
The free expression journal "Les Dossiers de l'Obstetrique" is aimed at midwives, the backbone of the obstetrics team.
Founded in 1974, it is the oldest and historical magazine for midwives (46th year of existence).
Its ambition is to promote exchanges between professionals and especially with all birth partners. Since their creation, the "DO" have gradually conquered a respectable media position by attesting to the constancy of their original commitment, both in respect for the freedom of expression of all the speakers who have invested their pages, and in the critical and open vision of the Birth that they have developed without concession.
Operation of the journal
Each month, an Editorial Board meets. His contribution constantly enriches the dialogue and the content of the journal. (Headings, Thematic files,…).
The management of subscriptions is entrusted to a specialized company.
Advertising is provided by the support [email protected] and [email protected]
Dissemination of the journal
The D.Os publish 11 issues / year except August. The free copies are distributed to the loyal sponsors who accompany the magazine in its advertising communication. The journal is distributed by routing to subscribers, as well as to all trade fairs (approximately 12 per year) devoted to the profession of midwifery.
Readership
The OD readership is estimated at 10,000 people (hospital midwives, public and private, liberal midwives, midwives from PMI, midwifery schools and all those who revolve around birth).
Evolution of the support
“Les Dossiers de la Maïeutique”, D.M, only in digital version, created in April 2014 aim to offer research articles from French-speaking midwives. This is to be developed in its content, its "pubmed" referencing to couple them with the DOs in its subscription proposals.
