Informations to young women or parents of girls,
concerning options available to preserve fertility in
case of gonadotoxics treatments, is now a medical
obligation. With adequated staged patients and
early cancer, conservative surgery is possible.
Embryo and oocyte cryopreservation, following stimulation potentially resulting in delay in cancer
treatment, are available only for pubertal women.
In vitro maturation seems an useful option. Ovarian
tissue cryopreservation can be performed without
significant delay. It is the only option for pre-pubertal girls. Randomized clinical trials are eagerly
awaited to evaluate effects of GnRH agonists.
